Residents from across the city to celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year with a parade, which begins at 24th Street and Wentworth Avenue and heads north up Wentworth to Cermak Road. Thousands watch marching bands, colorful floats, teams performing lion dances and a 90-foot long “Mystical Dragon.”

On February 14, 2016, we welcomed the “Year of the Monkey-4714″ with traditional lions & dragons, colorful floats, marching bands, local schools, Miss Friendship Ambassadors and Community Leaders wishing everyone “Gung Hay Fat Choi,” a very Happy & Prosperous New Year, as Chinatown celebrated its 104th Anniversary.

 

We will welcome the “Year of the Rooster – 4715″ on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 1 p.m.
